backbone nets).
2008: Perot Systems Corp. (Advantage Professionals) – Senior Network
Designer. Designed new networks for various healthcare hospitals and
facilities – projects involved voice, video, and wireless. Responsible for
conversion of a 500,000 sq. foot hospital from retired Enterasys
infrastructure to an updated Cisco platform with 65xx, 45xx, and 7206 VXR
equipment.
2006-2007: Franklin Templeton Investments (Serenity Inc.) – Network
Consultant. Network consultant to large scale campus network. Held
responsibility for the design, implementation and continual support of
division’s LAN, WAN, VPN, and Network Security aspects. Worked on key network
projects including new disaster recovery site and implementation of a
controller-based wireless system (Cisco Unified Wireless Network
Architecture). Gained significant experience with Cisco 440x controllers,
WCS, and LWAPP.
2006: Insight Corporate Solutions – Advanced Systems Engineer. Provided
engineering and implementation support for new data center build-out.
Performed multiple Cisco 65xx code conversions from hybrid to native mode,
upgraded 72xx router platforms, lit up new Cisco gear to IDF/MDF fiber
connects, configured OSPF and iBGP as necessary for medium site

consultant, designer, and implementor for new large hospital network

26xx routers along with Cisco Aironet hardware consisting of Cisco 1200 APs.
Configured authentication for wireless users using RADIUS/LEAP (lightweight
extensible authentication protocol). Provided written documentation and
drawings for new network.
2001 - 2002: Qwest Technology Support Group - Senior Network Engineer.
Provided network consulting services for Arizona statewide project involving
Arizona K-12 school districts and network transition to new SFB
architectures. Daily hands-on with Cisco routers, switches, and content
engines including 26xx and 36xx routers, 3508 Gigabit backbone switches (SX,
LX + GBIC, Gigastack), 35xx XL, 4006 L2/L3 switches, and CE507 Content
Engines (WCCP V2). Responsible for configuration of IOS firewall (CBAC/IP
Inspect, reflexive and dynamic ACL), IOS DHCP, IOS NAT, Appletalk, OSPF,

CNT channel extension facilities. Performed configuration of 3Com AB6218 and
Newbridge 4602 WAN links to support same. 12/98-6/99; Data center migration

Network Control Center. Provided technical expertise and direction to
subordinates in problem determination of various protocols and platforms.
Performed general UNIX System Administration on SUN workstations as necessary
to support network management systems utilized for WAN monitoring. Created
and maintained UNIX/AIX shell scripts for monitoring/supporting OCS Gateways
